My good friend and fishing companion Jonathan Syms hooked into a carp. It turned out to be just over 6lb. Marvelous! Notice the curve on that split cane. A Chapmans 500 rescued and restored by the good man himself. Jon has a fine collection of vintage tackle which he has kindly let me photograph. (see older posts) I will be uploading more fine photos of his collection very soon. Jon is a true angler at heart and is a wealth of knowledge on the subject. He also has a very fine collection of angling books in his study. A true fishing legend who loves a cup of freshly brewed tea and a chocolate biscuit.
